The Baritone Section has several traditions. Here are some of our more notable ones:
Pre-Game Huddle
We huddle to pump ourselves up for the game. It can include Bonzlay, B-A-R-I-T-O-N-E, 321TROJANS, a pep talk and uniform adjustment. It is also your last chance to go to the bathroom...
Spirit Nights
The band hosts various spirit nights throughout the season. Previous victories include: glow in the dark night (twice) and singing of the school song (The Downers Grove North High School Polka). Dressing up is mandatory. The funnier the better!
Singing of the Alam Mater
Sung and played, win or lose. We are later joined by the football team in a postgame moment that is regarded as "one of the most powerful things I have ever seen" -Chicago Tribune
Victory Walk
Various walks to the Fieldhouse after a victory including: curser, Boom box, and the ____ walk.
.
Singing on the Bus
We have done it all! From classics to previous years shows to the school song!
Cheering Rambunctiously In the Stands
BARITONE SECTION = LOUD
The Wearing of the Earplugs

Turning the Shako (or hat)
We wear our shakoes backwards after home (and away at DGS) victories.
Singing of the Alma Mater on the ramp
A long standing North High tradition. It happens rain or shine, win or loose.
